Regional Laboratory Medicine belongs to Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Area 4, and has a clear coordinating mandate for the entire Region of Västra Götaland. The organization consists of the laboratory medicine operations at Södra Älvsborg Hospital, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Hospitals in the West, and NU Hospital Group.

Job Description
At the laboratory, cell and tissue samples are analyzed regarding pathological changes. The operation is constantly developing, and we work fully with digital pathology in diagnostics.
The work is carried out in teams where you collaborate with biomedical science specialists, laboratory technicians, biologists, and doctors. The tasks include, among other things: assisting with dissection, independent dissection, frozen sectioning, paraffin embedding, sectioning, and staining, including immunohistochemistry, scanning to digital images, working with digital slides and image review, as well as participating in development and improvement work.
Digital pathology is an integrated part of our daily work, and you will actively work with digital images to ensure high-quality morphological assessments and contribute to further development in the field.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed biomedical science specialist.
You are meticulous, structured, and have a good ability to handle several tasks simultaneously. You are solution-oriented and have a positive and engaged attitude towards your work.
Since the work largely takes place in teams and in close collaboration with colleagues, we place great emphasis on your communicative and collaborative skills. You need to have very good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing.
